As an Evaluation Navigator, I offer a one-time consultation service designed to help parents understand their child's  evaluations, such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) evaluations or evaluations that were conducted by other providers (e.g., other psychologists, ST, OT, Regional Center, etc.) I know that these documents can be overwhelming and confusing, so my goal is to make them easier to understand.

During our consultation, I will:

• Review the Evaluation: I will go through your child's IEP or other  evaluations with you, explaining the key points in simple, parent-friendly terms.

• Provide a Second Opinion: I can offer a second opinion on the evaluation, helping you understand whether the recommendations and services suggested are appropriate and beneficial for your child.

• Suggest Additional Services: Based on the evaluation, I can suggest other services or supports that might be helpful or necessary for your child’s educational success.

• Clarify and Answer Questions: I will be available to answer any questions you have, ensuring you fully understand the evaluation and feel confident in the next steps for your child’s education.

 

Please note that this is a one-time consultation without a written report, and it is not an evaluation itself. My role is to guide you through the existing evaluation and provide clarity and support.
